Curtis Kolinek, BA, CADC-III
Curtis Kolinek is a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC-III). He has been in the addiction field, guiding clients towards recovery for 7 years. Curtis has had a life-long pursuit of being of service to those around him. His vast personal experience in both customer service and recovery has pushed him to embark on a career in the field of substance use disorders and mental health.
Curtis completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, graduating Summa Cum Laude from San Diego Christian College. He completed his Alcohol and Other Drug Studies certificate work at Palomar Community College. He has worked in a behavioral health care setting restoring health, hope, and a positive future to those afflicted with addiction. Before pursuing an education in the recovery field, he was a certified personal trainer and fitness manager for a large, local fitness facility.
Becoming an addiction treatment counselor enables him to use his experience to create a culture of personal empowerment. Curtis affirms, “I believe in the concept of ‘Servant Leadership’ and an integrated approach towards treatment. These practices deliver tools to willing people, which enables them to be motivated from within towards a higher purpose.” His holistic approach includes proficiency in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Relapse Prevention. He continues to advance his education by pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology.
