Happiness and Service in Recovery

Happiness and Service in Healing“The happiest people I know are those who lose themselves in the service of others.” – Gordon B. Hinckley

The field of positive psychology has spent decades researching happiness – and they have found some answers!  Generally speaking, “happy people,” tend to have three characteristics in common.  They express gratitude, they are optimistic and they are service oriented.  Gandhi said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

There is something special about forgetting about ourselves for a time and spending our energy in uplifting others.  AToN Center is joining “I Love a Clean San Diego,” on Saturday, April 23rd to join with our community and give back.

Please consider joining us!  If you are interested in finding ways to serve your community, but are unsure where to start, you can begin here:  https://www.justserve.org/.
